Position Description: Grace Community Church of Auburn, Washington, has begun a national search for a Senior Pastor to lead us together into the future. A suitable candidate possesses an exceptional gift for relational Bible teaching and preaching, a contagious passion for culturally relevant evangelism, and a strong ability for leadership development of others. He has a history of leading ministries that consistently generate new leaders in a broadening movement of ministry. He will lead, both directly and through others, as he guides a diverse team of ministry leaders in this large regional church to greater levels of mission and ministry for Jesus. This man’s life already shows significant evidence that the Lord has called and prepared him to lead a ministry like Grace. Evidence of this may include that he already serves as the Senior Pastor of a church of 1500 or more regular attendees, or he may be an executive or second teaching pastor for a significantly larger church who has gained the breadth of experience to take on the role of a Senior Pastor in a church like Grace.

Church Description: Grace Community Church is a regional community Bible church, located about 20 miles south of Seattle. The church serves the rapidly growing areas of South King County and North Pierce County. Grace is uniquely placed to reach men, women, and children in these southern suburbs of Seattle. We believe that God has placed us squarely in the middle of this opportunity for a reason and has given us a mission to bring the gospel to people who don’t know Jesus Christ. Grace Community Church began as a Bible study formed to follow up with a few men and women who learned about Jesus Christ through the Seattle-area Billy Graham Crusade of 1950-51. From this small start, “Bible Baptist Church” emerged and became part of the Conservative Baptist Association. Over the next five decades, the church continued to grow in number and regional influence and was eventually renamed “Grace Community Church.” The church campus covers approximately 11 acres in south Auburn and includes a 73,000+ square foot facility. The main auditorium can seat over 1200, and also serves as a full-size gym. Grace has a multiple-member staff, an Elder Board, and helps sponsor over 50 full-time missionaries around the world.
